  • Farhad Khan is a Sound Healer, Yoga Teacher E-RYT 500, Breath Work Practitioner, Meditation Guide and Life Coach, and is the founder of Maa Yoga & Wellness Studio, which opened in North Vancouver in 2007. His dedication to the essence of yoga and sound healing is reflected in his creation of the space and his teachings.

    Having studied with various teachers from around the world, Farhad teaches from his heart and welcomes everybody to bask in the many gifts this practice has to offer.

    He has been trained in many styles of yoga such as, Hatha, Vinyasa, restorative, yin, somatic, and Kundalini. Also, having worked with various sound healers over the years, Farhad uses his passion for sound healing as a sound therapy tool to bring a truly devotional and expansive healing quality to his workshops. His way of magically weaving all that he has learned on his path is memorable and leaves your heart feeling full of joy.

  • Lindsay began leading groups of people in various forms of movement and exercise many moons ago at the YWCA in Toronto. The times, her pregnant body, and her curiosity led her to a yoga where she discovered the sanctity of slowing down, breathing consciously, and the power of interception.

    So many teachers both directly and indirectly have, and continue to, influence her classes. Some of these include Judith Hansen Lasater, Sarah Powers, Bo Forbes, Martha Peterson, Katy Bowman, her students, Peter A. Levine, Sharon Abbondanza, Gabor Mate, sobriety, Susi Hately, Waldorf education, Tara Brach, her children and husband, and our ultimate teacher; Mamma Nature.

Rest + Receive RETREATS FAQ

  • You can book your retreat with preferred accomodation and secure your spot simply by sending us your payment via the online payment link.

  • It is your responsibility to read and understand our cancellation policy before making a reservation. Please continue reading for our cancellation policy:

    If you cancel your retreat, Farhad Khan does not offer refunds for any reason. In situations where there is an injury or illness, partial refunds may be granted with a valid doctors note, and will be handled case by case.

    A portion of your payment may be used as credit for another retreat to be taken within two years of your original retreat date.

    We will gladly transfer your credit to another guest.

    Depending on when you cancel, cancellation penalties may apply.

    Fees are determined by the following schedule:

    If you cancel more than 60 days before your retreat start date, your payment, less the non-refundable deposit, may be applied to another Retreat.

    If you cancel 15 – 59 days before your retreat start date, 50% of your payment may be applied to another Retreat. You will forfeit 50% of the price of your retreat.

    If you cancel 14 days or less before your retreat start date, you will forfeit your entire payment.

    Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer credit for a guest arriving late or leaving early.

    While we have never cancelled a retreat to date, if Farhad Khan must cancel a booked retreat date for any reason, you may transfer your full retreat payment to another retreat, or you may request a refund of your payment to us, constituting a full settlement.

    Farhad Khan is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled retreat, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
