East Forest: Music for Mushrooms Screening + Sound Bath with Farhad Khan
Date: Friday, May 23, 2025
Time: 7:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Location: Mt Seymour United Church - 1200 Parkgate Ave, North Vancouver, BC
Early Bird Pricing (until May 1st): $45
Regular Admission (after May 1st): $55
Join us for a powerful evening of cinematic storytelling and immersive healing.
We’ll begin with a special screening of Music for Mushrooms — a narrative documentary self-portrait by shamanistic musician and filmmaker East Forest (Krishna-Trevor Oswalt), a collaborator of the late Ram Dass. This intimate film captures East Forest’s personal journey as he pioneers guided ceremonial concerts that weave together music, psychedelics, and deep intention to create a space for emotional transformation and inner truth.
Through vulnerable storytelling and live performance, Music for Mushrooms explores how sound can be a profound catalyst for healing, helping people confront their pain, reconnect to purpose, and realign with their own true north in a fractured world.
Following the screening, allow the experience to deepen with a 30-minute live sound bath guided by Farhad Khan — a meditative integration featuring crystal bowls, gongs, and soothing sonic textures to ground and soften your journey inward.
Come with an open heart. Leave with a renewed sense of connection.
