BY DONATION SOUND BATH MEDITATION WITH FARHAD (NORTH VAN DEC 9/26)

from CA$30.00

📅 Wednesday, December 9, 2026
🕡 7:00 PM – 8:15 PM
📍 Mt Seymour United – 1200 Parkgate Ave, North Vancouver

As we move into the busy holiday season, we invite you to pause, reconnect, and come together in community for our special December By-Donation Sound Bath Meditation.

In the spirit of the season, this gathering is offered by donation, with a portion of the proceeds supporting local organizations that provide care and assistance to those in need.

Join Farhad for a deeply relaxing evening of meditation and immersive sound, featuring crystal singing bowls, handpan, symphonic gongs, chimes, and other instruments. Allow the soothing vibrations of sound to support the nervous system, quiet the mind, release built-up stress and tension, and create space for stillness and reflection during what can be a particularly busy time of year.

No previous meditation or sound bath experience is needed. Everyone is welcome.

Giving Back This Holiday Season

Each December, Mount Seymour United supports organizations through its Advent Giving Tree, including First United Church in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and the North Shore Youth Safe House, operated by Hollyburn Family Services.

In addition to your donation to attend the Sound Bath, you are invited to bring new, unused items such as toiletries, socks, pajamas, and underwear to place beneath the Giving Tree in the lobby outside the sanctuary. These items will be distributed to people in need within our community.

A portion of the evening's monetary donations will also help support this seasonal giving initiative, including the purchase of gift cards for youth so they can enjoy simple outings and experiences with friends during the holiday season.

Thank you for helping us make this evening not only a time to receive, rest, and reconnect, but also an opportunity to give back.

What to Bring

The Sound Bath takes place in the beautiful main sanctuary at Mount Seymour United Church. You are welcome to experience the meditation seated in one of the sanctuary chairs or lying comfortably on the floor in designated areas.

If you would like to lie down, we recommend bringing a yoga mat, along with anything else that will help you feel comfortable, such as a blanket, pillow, bolster, and eye mask.

Doors Open: 6:30 PM
Sound Bath Meditation: 7:00–8:15 PM
Parking: Plenty of free parking is available in front of the church.

We look forward to gathering with you for an evening of sound, stillness, community, and giving.
